In light of the recent rash of cycling accidents and conflicts with vehicles, the club felt it wise to offer some safety-related instruction, and we’ve enlisted Jonathan Lee of Red Peloton to help in this.  The number of instructors will be matched to the number of participants.

Riders of all categories, A, B, C or D, should come away with some valuable insights.  The clinic will include both lectures and on-the-bike practice sessions so be sure to bring your bike.

The topics covered will include:

1. Group riding behaviors to avoid
2. Group riding tactics for safety
3. Basic behaviors in traffic
4. Positive methods for dealing with aggressive motorists
5. Safe and proper rotating pace lines

$20 fee for class. Club will pay $10 of each entry fee for the first 50 SRCC members but non-members may register for the full $20 fee. Payment will be made at the time of registration.  You may register at the event but the member discount is only available through on-line registration.
