What a great day! A huge turnout and cool weather made for a near perfect Wine Country Century. Big thanks to all volunteers for making the century one of the best on the west coast. Judging from the feedback we're getting by email and from talking to riders under the tent, it is the best. Many riders have sent in compliments on the overall superb quality of the food, the scenery and the support. And of course we can't say enough about the leadership for this year's WCC. Joe Morgan put many hours into chairing the event and was well supported by the ever present Doug Simon. Big thanks to some others as well: John Miklaucic, Kimberly Hoffman, and Gordon Stewart, all of whom put in many hours in the background pulling together volunteers, running the web site, and keeping all the materials and the details straight. We should not forget Arlene Morgan, Jon Dick, Rose Mello and Janice Eunice also recruited and worked multiple tasks to make the event so successful. As someone recently noted, this club has lot of uber-volunteers and without them, this event, and the TT, would not be nearly the superb events that they are.
For those of you riders lucky enough to ride this year's WCC, thank you for dropping by and enjoying what we are privileged to ride all year long. It is our pleasure to share with you some of Sonoma County's finest roads, even if they are a little rough. Judging by your feedback, everyone had a great time. We look forward to seeing you next year.
